Celia Riach, owner of Desert Sands Persian Rugs, has a wealth of knowledge in the history and creation of oriental carpets and rugs. All items are personally chosen and imported from nomadic tribes out in the desert, or weavers in small villages, towns and cities throughout Iran and the middle East. Celia offers friendly and personal advice on the use of the carpets and if required, offers consultations at your home for the correct placing of the carpets. She also offers a professional service for cleaning and repairs. This work is undertaken by an expert qualified Iranian renovator who works with traditional methods.

Product Range Description
The product range includes Persian and oriental carpets and rugs made from 100% merino wool, 100% silk, or a silk and wool blend, knotted onto a 100% cotton foundation. There is a wide variety of traditional designs, colours and sizes. All carpets are certified authentically hand made and vegetable dyed. The range also includes kilims, kilim pouffes and cushions. There are also 100% Persian cotton hand blocked tablecloths, using the same vegetable dye process as the carpets. A few decorative trinkets such as lamps, bowls and glassware complete the range.
